Common repairsWhat owners tell us when they call about a washing machine. Any of them, on any Gorenje model, starts with a test at your home.
These are codes we are called out for on Gorenje appliances in the UAE. A code narrows the search — it does not name the broken part on its own, which is why every job starts with a test rather than a guess.
What it means
The wash-temperature (NTC) sensor circuit is reading open or short. With no usable temperature value, the control board stops the programme instead of moving on to the heating stage. We test the sensor and its wiring and connector before looking at the board, because the sensor side is the more common cause.
Usually
A failed NTC temperature probe, chafed or corroded wiring in the loom running to it, or a loose/burnt connector at the main control board.
What it means
On the mainstream Gorenje control system, the control board is not receiving the "door locked" confirmation from the interlock, so the cycle will not start and the machine will not take in water. Usual causes are a failed door lock or PTC interlock, a damaged lock connector, or the wiring between the lock and the module. On older Gorenje WA 101, 121, 132 and 162 series machines, F2 means something different: the drum did not fill to its minimum level within 8 minutes.
Usually
A worn or failed door interlock, a door catch or hinge that has dropped so the latch no longer seats fully, or a broken wire between the lock and the board.
What it means
The machine did not drain to the minimum water level within the time the programme allows, so the cycle stops with water still in the drum. Typical causes are a blocked pump filter, a failed drain pump, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a faulty pressure switch reporting the level. On older Gorenje WA 101, 121, 132 and 162 series machines, the same drain fault is shown as F5.
Usually
A clogged pump filter, a kinked or blocked drain hose, debris jammed in the drain pump impeller, or a drain pump that has failed electrically.

Gorenje reaches the UAE through a regional site and distributor network, so parts are ordered against the model code rather than held as general stock.
We confirm the exact part, its availability and the expected wait with you before the repair is approved. Where an original part is discontinued or slow to source, we say so and tell you what the alternative is before anything is fitted — including whether it is an OEM part or a high-grade equivalent.
Our inspection and fixing fee is AED 100. If any parts need replacing, they are charged on top — and only with your approval.
All prices exclude 5% VAT. If you decide not to go ahead after the inspection, the AED 100 is payable; if we cannot repair it at all, you pay nothing.
The same method on every Gorenje washing machine — test first, agree any parts, repair, then the warranty.
Call or WhatsApp with the model number and what the appliance is doing. An error code helps.
The technician tests and confirms the fault before anything is replaced. No guessing.
The AED 100 fee covers the inspection and the fixing. Any part is priced first and fitted only with your approval.
We run the appliance in front of you, then the repair carries a 90-day warranty.
Straight answers to what people ask us about Gorenje washing machines and dryers.
Note the code down before you switch anything off, because it tells the technician which circuit the machine is complaining about — a temperature sensor reading, a door interlock that will not confirm locked, or water that has not drained in time are the usual ones. Then turn the machine off at the wall. If the drum is full of water, do not force the door. Call us with the code and the model number and we will bring the likely parts to the first visit.
The ones we are called out for most are F1, F2 and F7, and each is explained on this page. A code narrows the search but does not name the broken part on its own, so every job starts with a test rather than a guess.

If it is still inside Gorenje's own warranty, use Gorenje's service channel first — an independent repair may affect that cover. Once that warranty has ended, we repair it at your home, and our own 90-day warranty covers the parts we fit and the work we do.
Usually on a sticker inside the door rim or on the back panel. Send a photo of that label on WhatsApp with what the washing machine is doing and any code on the display — the model number tells us which parts fit before we arrive.
Our technicians travel to you across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman — at any hour, with no weekend, night or public holiday surcharge.
