Warranty Terms

Ninety days on the parts we fit and the labour we do. Here is exactly what that covers.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Written in plain English on purpose. These terms sit alongside sections 5 and 6 of our Terms & Conditions and form part of them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you approve the repair — not afterwards.

1. Who gives this warranty

This warranty is given by the company you contract with for the work:

UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C (Unitech Maintenance)
يونتك هوم لصيانة المباني ذ.م.م
No. 3, Masfout, Ajman, United Arab Emirates
Professional Licence No. 134585 — Government of Ajman, Department of Economic Development
Legal form: Limited Liability Company (LLC) · Commercial Register No. 201838356

It is our own warranty, on our own work, and we honour it ourselves. It is not a manufacturer warranty, and it does not replace, extend or renew one — see section 9.

Professional licence 134585 records buildings maintenance, electrical fittings, air-conditioner repair and related activities. The recorded list is reproduced in full on our Legal Information page and in section 1 of our Terms & Conditions. The domestic appliance repair work this warranty covers is a service we offer to customers, and it is set out separately from that licensed activity list on purpose.

2. The warranty in short

  • 90 days on the parts we fitted and the labour we performed, running from the date of the repair shown on your invoice.
  • It covers the specific fault we repaired — not the rest of the appliance.
  • A valid claim costs you nothing: no call-out, no diagnosis charge, no labour.
  • To claim, quote your invoice or job number and tell us what the appliance is doing.
  • It is separate from any manufacturer warranty, and does not replace one.

The sections below are the detail behind those five lines.

3. What is covered

  • The repair we carried out — the fault described on your invoice, and the work done to put it right.
  • The parts we fitted during that repair, and the labour we performed to fit them.
  • For 90 days from the date of the repair, as shown on your invoice. The period runs from that date; it does not restart because a warranty visit happens inside it, and a warranty visit does not add days to the end of it.
  • Warranty visits are free of charge, including the call-out. You do not pay the AED 100 on-site diagnosis and call-out charge a second time, and you do not pay for our labour on a valid claim.
  • The cover applies whether we fitted an OEM part or a disclosed high-grade equivalent, as described in section 7.
  • If the same fault returns inside the 90 days, we come back and put it right — a second time if that is what it takes.

4. What is not covered

The warranty is tied to the repair we did. It is not a service contract on the whole appliance, and it is not insurance. It does not cover:

  • A new, unrelated fault. A different problem appearing later — even on the same appliance, even inside the 90 days — is a separate job, diagnosed and quoted separately.
  • Other components we did not touch. Replacing a drain pump does not put the motor, the drum bearings, the control board or the door seal under warranty.
  • Damage caused after our visit — dropping, knocking or overloading the appliance, forcing a door, water ingress, or anything spilled into it.
  • Power surges, voltage drops and supply faults, and damage reaching the appliance from the building's electrical, water or drainage supply rather than arising in the appliance itself.
  • Misuse and use outside the maker's instructions — wrong detergent, wrong programme, wrong load, running a machine that is clearly faulty, or carrying on using an appliance after we have warned you not to.
  • Third-party interference after the repair. If anyone else opens, adjusts, modifies or works on the appliance after our visit, the warranty on our repair ends at that point. The same applies if the appliance is moved, reinstalled or reconnected by someone else.
  • Consumables. Lamps and bulbs, filters and cartridges, fuses, batteries and similar items are used up in service rather than by workmanship. Where we supply one, it carries only whatever warranty its own maker gives it.
  • Wear items that have reached the end of their service life, general age-related deterioration, and cosmetic marks, rust or discoloration.
  • Pre-existing faults and the condition of the appliance as we found it — see section 10 of our Terms & Conditions Legal Information.
  • Consequential losses such as spoiled food, damaged laundry, lost income or loss of use of the appliance.

None of this is a way out of a genuine claim. If our repair has not held, we come back. If something entirely different has failed, we will say so plainly, and tell you what it will cost before we do anything about it.

5. What a warranty visit costs

  • A valid claim costs you nothing. No call-out, no diagnosis charge, no labour, and no charge for a replacement part covered by section 3.
  • If the technician finds the cause is a new and separate fault, we stop and explain it. You then get a price for that work in the normal way, from the starting prices published on our pricing page, and nothing goes ahead until you approve it.
  • All prices exclude 5% VAT, shown separately on the invoice. There is no weekend, night or public holiday surcharge on a warranty visit, exactly as with any other job.

6. How to make a claim

  • Contact us. Call +971 58 869 5211, message us on WhatsApp, or email info@homeappliancerepair-uae.com. Our line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Quote your invoice or job number. It is printed on the invoice we issued at the end of the repair. If you cannot find it, give us the mobile number the job was booked under, plus the approximate date and the address of the visit, and we will trace the record.
  • Describe what the appliance is doing now. Error codes, noises, smells, whether it happens on every cycle — the more precise you are, the better the chance the technician arrives with the right part. Photos or a short video sent on WhatsApp help.
  • We check it against the job record — the fault we repaired and the parts we fitted. If it is the same fault, we book a warranty visit at no charge.
  • Please stop using the appliance. If the fault has returned, switch it off and unplug it where it is safe to do so, and do not let anyone else open it before we get there. Running it on, or having someone else look at it in the meantime, is the single thing most likely to cost you the claim.

We aim to attend a warranty visit the same day, on the same basis as any other job, and we give it the same priority. Arrival windows are estimates: traffic, weather and emergency call-outs can affect them, and we will keep you informed if the technician is running late.

If you are not satisfied with how a claim has been handled, use the complaints route in section 13 of our Terms & Conditions Legal Information — call +971 58 869 5211 or email us, quoting the invoice number. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

7. Parts, and the warranty on them

  • We use OEM parts where available, and disclose high-grade equivalents before fitting. The 90-day warranty applies either way.
  • If a part has been discontinued by the manufacturer, we tell you clearly before fitting an equivalent, so the choice stays yours.
  • Replaced faulty parts remain your property and can be returned to you at the time of the repair. Ask the technician on the day.
  • Where a part has to be ordered, we give you an estimated timeframe and keep you updated. An estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date; supplier and shipping delays are outside our control.
  • Deposits towards special-order parts are non-refundable once the part has been ordered.
  • Until an invoice has been paid in full, any part we have fitted remains our property, and this warranty applies only once the job has been paid for.

8. Is the warranty transferable?

The warranty is recorded against the job rather than against a person. It stays with the appliance we repaired, at the address where we repaired it, for the remainder of the 90 days. So a new occupant of the property, or someone who takes the appliance on in place, can claim on it — provided they can quote the original invoice or job number, and nobody else has opened, moved, reinstalled or worked on the appliance in the meantime.

What the cover cannot do is travel. Take the appliance to another address and our warranty on that repair ends. Not to be difficult: disconnecting, transporting and reconnecting a machine is exactly the handling most likely to undo a repair, and we cannot stand behind work that has since been disturbed by someone else. If you are moving home or selling the appliance inside the 90 days, tell us first and we will confirm the position in writing rather than leave you to find out at the point of a claim.

9. This warranty and any manufacturer warranty

Our 90-day warranty covers our repair. It is a separate thing from any warranty the manufacturer of your appliance may still be giving you, and it neither replaces nor extends that cover.

If your appliance is still inside its manufacturer warranty, use the manufacturer's own service channel first. Letting an independent company open or repair an appliance can affect that cover. Whether it does, and to what extent, is the manufacturer's decision under its own terms — terms we neither set nor control — and we are not going to tell you your cover will survive our visit, because that is not a promise we are in any position to keep.

So tell us at the booking stage if the appliance is still under manufacturer warranty, or has already been worked on by someone else. Where we think the manufacturer is the better first call, we will say so and hand the job back rather than take your money. If you decide to go ahead with us anyway, that is your decision to make with the facts in front of you, and our own 90-day warranty then applies to the repair we carry out.

Unitech Maintenance is an independent repair service provider and is not an authorized agent of any manufacturer. All manufacturer names, brand names and model references on this website are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the equipment we repair and maintain.

10. No Fix, No Fee

If we cannot repair your appliance, you do not pay for the visit at all. We will tell you why, and give you an honest opinion on whether replacing the appliance makes better financial sense than repeated repairs. We would rather lose one job than sell you a repair that is not worth doing.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update this page — to reflect a change in how we work, or a change in the law. The version published here on the day of your repair is the version that applies to that repair, and a later change cannot reduce cover you already have. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under UAE consumer protection law.
