What is your fridge doing?
Find your symptom below. If your fridge has stopped cooling entirely, move perishables to a cool box and call us — refrigeration is dispatched ahead of everything else.
Freezer works but fridge is warm
The classic sign of a blocked defrost drain or failed evaporator fan — cold air is being made but never reaches the fridge compartment. Usually an affordable repair.
Heavy ice build-up
A failed defrost heater, timer or thermostat lets frost grow until it blocks airflow completely. We clear it, replace the failed defrost component and check the drain path.
Running constantly / loud noise
Worn fan bearings, a labouring compressor or a condenser coil choked with dust. In UAE conditions a clogged coil is extremely common and dramatically raises your electricity bill.
Water pooling inside or on the floor
Almost always a blocked defrost drain hole freezing over and overflowing, or a perished door gasket letting humid air in. Both are quick fixes when caught early.
Door seal failing or door not closing
A perished gasket makes the compressor run nearly non-stop and forms ice inside. Gaskets and hinges are replaceable and pay for themselves in reduced running costs.

Refrigeration jumps the queue.A fridge in 45°C heat is treated as an emergency, ahead of appliances that can safely wait until tomorrow.
Proper diagnosis with gauges.Not cooling has at least six different causes. We measure pressures and check the sealed system instead of simply declaring "it needs gas".
Leaks are found and fixed, not just topped up.Refilling a leaking system is a repair that fails again in weeks. We locate the leak, repair it, vacuum the system and charge it to the manufacturer's specified weight.
We wait for the temperature to prove it.A fridge needs time to pull down. We stay, monitor the temperature drop and confirm the repair is genuinely working before leaving.

My fridge stopped cooling. What should I do right now?
Move perishables and anything frozen into a cool box or a neighbour's freezer, keep the doors shut to hold the remaining cold, and call us on . Refrigeration gets emergency priority. We will also tell you on the phone whether to leave it running or switch it off.
Why is my freezer working but the fridge is warm?
Because cold air is being produced but not delivered. Usually a failed evaporator fan or a defrost drain blocked with ice. This is one of the more affordable refrigeration repairs — and it is not a reason to buy a new fridge.
Does my fridge just need a gas top-up?
A sealed refrigeration system does not consume gas. If it is low, there is a leak. Anyone who simply tops it up without finding the leak is selling you a repair that will fail again within weeks. We locate and repair the leak, vacuum the system, then charge it to the manufacturer's specified weight.
Can you repair American side-by-side and built-in fridges?
Yes — side-by-side, French door, built-in integrated columns, chest freezers, upright freezers, wine coolers and display chillers. Built-in units need careful removal and refitting, which is routine work for us.
Is it worth repairing an older fridge?
Often yes. Fans, thermostats, defrost heaters, relays and gaskets are all economical repairs. A failed compressor on an old unit is the main case where replacing makes better sense — and we will tell you that plainly rather than taking your money.
Why is my fridge running constantly and my bill high?
Usually a condenser coil choked with dust, or a perished door seal letting warm humid air in. Both make the compressor run almost non-stop. Cleaning the coil and replacing a gasket often pays for itself in electricity savings.
