By booking a repair with us — by phone, WhatsApp, email or through a form on this website — you agree to the terms below. Please read them; they are written in plain English on purpose.
1. Who you are contracting with
Any work you book through this website, or through the phone and WhatsApp number shown on it, is a contract between you and:
UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C (Unitech Maintenance)
No. 3, Masfout, Ajman, United Arab Emirates
Professional Licence No. 134585 — Government of Ajman, Department of Economic Development
Legal form: Limited Liability Company (LLC) · Commercial Register No. 201838356
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company. “You” means the person or organisation booking the work, and “the appliance” means the equipment we are asked to look at.
The activities recorded on our licence
Professional licence 134585 records the following activities: Buildings Maintenance; Tinging and Painting Works; Décor Works; Electrical Fittings & Fixtures Services; and Repair and maintenance of Air-conditioners, Cooling Equipments And Central Air Refining.
That list is the licence, quoted as it stands. The appliance repair and diagnostic work described elsewhere on this website is a service we offer to customers, and it is set out separately from the licensed activity list on purpose. We do not present appliance repair as one of the recorded activities on the licence.
2. Our services, and how a booking is made
- We attend the address you give us, diagnose the fault you have reported, and — once you have approved a price — carry out the repair, part replacement, servicing or installation work agreed.
- We are contactable, and dispatching technicians, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
- A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and an arrival window with you. Making that booking means you accept these terms as they read on the day you book.
- Arrival windows are estimates. Traffic, weather and emergency call-outs can affect them, and we will keep you informed if a technician is running late.
- We may decline or hand back a booking — for example if the address is outside the areas we cover, or if the work turns out to be something we cannot carry out safely or lawfully. If that happens we tell you plainly rather than attempt it.
3. Inspection, diagnosis and quotation
- Our technician inspects the appliance on site and identifies the fault.
- An on-site diagnosis and call-out charge applies to the visit, at the figure published on our pricing page.
- You then receive a fixed price covering labour and parts.
- No work begins until you approve that price. You are free to decline. Approval can be given to the technician on site, or in writing by WhatsApp or email.
- If you approve the repair, the call-out and diagnosis charge is waived.
- If you decline the repair, only the call-out and diagnosis charge is payable.
- A quotation covers the fault described in it and the parts listed in it. If we find a further, separate fault once work is under way, we stop and quote for it before going any further.
4. No Fix, No Fee
If we are unable to repair your appliance, you pay nothing for the visit. We will also give you an honest opinion on whether replacing the appliance makes better financial sense than repeated repairs.
5. Warranty
- Repairs carry a 90-day warranty covering both the parts we replaced and the labour we performed.
- The warranty covers the specific fault that was repaired. A new, unrelated fault is quoted separately.
- Warranty service is free of charge, including the call-out.
The full warranty terms — what is covered, what is not, and how to claim — are set out on our warranty terms page, which forms part of these terms and should be read with this section and section 6. In summary, the warranty is void if, after our repair, the appliance is:
- Opened, modified or repaired by anyone else.
- Damaged by misuse, overloading, power surge, water ingress, pests or accident.
- Moved or reinstalled by a third party in a way that damages it.
Our warranty is our own warranty on our own work. It is separate from any manufacturer warranty that may still apply to your appliance, and it neither replaces nor extends one. Letting an independent company open or repair an appliance can affect manufacturer cover, and that is the manufacturer's decision under its own terms — read section 9 of our warranty terms before you book.
6. Spare parts
- We use OEM parts where available, and disclose high-grade equivalents before fitting.
- If a part is discontinued, we will tell you clearly before fitting a high-grade equivalent. The 90-day warranty applies either way.
- Some parts have to be ordered, and that takes time. A part we do not carry on the van may take days rather than hours, and a part sourced from outside the UAE can take longer. We give you an estimated timeframe and keep you updated, but an estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date and delays at the supplier or in shipping are outside our control.
- Where a special-order part is needed we may ask for a deposit towards it. Deposits for special-order parts are non-refundable once the part has been ordered.
- Replaced faulty parts remain the property of the customer and can be returned to you on request at the time of the repair.
- Until an invoice has been paid in full, any part we have fitted remains our property.
7. Prices and payment
- Payment is due on completion, once the appliance has been tested in your presence.
- We accept cash, card and bank transfer, and issue an invoice for every job.
- All prices exclude 5% VAT. VAT is shown separately and added to the final invoice.
- There is no weekend, night or public holiday surcharge.
- We never ask for payment details on this website. There is no online payment form here.
- Where a job runs over more than one visit — for instance while an ordered part arrives — the balance falls due when the work is completed and tested.
8. Cancellation, rescheduling and no access
- You may cancel or reschedule at any time before the technician is dispatched, at no charge.
- If our technician has already arrived at your address, the call-out charge applies.
- If nobody is present at the agreed time, or the technician cannot get to the appliance, the visit counts as attended and the call-out charge applies. We will always try to reach you first.
- If you cancel an approved repair after a special-order part has been ordered, the deposit for that part is not refundable — see section 6.
- We may need to reschedule a visit ourselves, for weather, safety or an emergency call-out. We tell you as soon as we know and there is no charge for a visit we move.
9. What we need from you
- An accurate description of the fault. The more precisely you describe what the appliance is doing, the better the chance the technician arrives with the right part.
- Tell us if the appliance has already been worked on by someone else, and if it is still covered by a manufacturer warranty.
- Safe, lawful access to the appliance. Please clear the space around it, move stored items, and arrange building or community access, parking and any permit the building requires.
- An adult must be present for the duration of the visit.
- Power and water supplies to the appliance need to be available so the repair can be tested.
- Please tell us in advance about anything affecting a safe visit — pets, restricted hours, or work at height.
- Anything you would like done beyond the work quoted has to be quoted and approved separately. Please do not ask the technician to take on extra work off the record.
10. Our liability, pre-existing faults and older appliances
- We carry out work with reasonable skill and care.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, or for the general age and wear of an appliance.
- An older appliance can behave unpredictably once it is opened: seals, plastics, clips and corroded fixings may fail simply on being handled, and a second fault may surface after the first is fixed. Where we can see that risk before starting, we tell you so you can decide whether to go ahead.
- We are not liable for consequential losses such as spoiled food, lost income, damaged laundry or loss of use of the appliance.
- Where an appliance is already beyond economical repair, we will tell you rather than take your money.
- If we damage something through our own negligence, tell the technician at the time or contact us as soon as you notice, and we will put it right.
- Except where UAE law does not permit it, our total liability in connection with a job is limited to the amount you have paid us for that job.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under UAE consumer protection law.
11. Independent service provider
Unitech Maintenance is an independent repair service provider and is not an authorized agent of any manufacturer. We are not an appointed service centre for any appliance brand, and no manufacturer has appointed, approved or endorsed us.
Manufacturer names, brand names and model references used on this website are the trademarks of their respective owners, and appear only to identify the equipment we service. If your appliance is still covered by a manufacturer warranty, use the manufacturer's own service channel first — having an independent company work on it may affect that cover. Tell us and we will say so before you commit to a repair.
12. Your information
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to ask for it to be deleted are all set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, call +971 58 869 5211 or email info@homeappliancerepair-uae.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours and to resolve every complaint fairly.
Please quote the invoice number, or the phone number the job was booked under, and describe what went wrong. If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you keep every right you have under UAE consumer protection law, including the right to raise it with the competent authority in the emirate where the work was carried out.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — to reflect a change in how we work, or a change in the law. The version published on this page when you make your booking is the version that applies to that booking. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any contract for work made under them, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The competent courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
