Common repairsWhat owners tell us when they call about a dishwasher. Any of them, on any Fisher & Paykel model, starts with a test at your home.
Fisher & Paykel publishes codes model by model, so we only list the one we can state with confidence. Everything else we diagnose by testing on site.
What it means
Water leak detected. The DishDrawer has sensed water where it should not be, below the wash tub, and has stopped to prevent a flood.
Usually
A leaking seal, hose or connection inside the drawer housing, or oversudsing from the wrong detergent. The water has to be cleared and the leak found before the drawer will run normally — resetting it repeatedly just hides the leak.
Safe to check yourself
Turn off the water supply and the power to the drawer, and do not keep resetting it.
Seeing one of these codes? Call with the code and the model number from the rating plate, and we will tell you the likely cause and what happens next.
Call now · +971 58 869 5211DishDrawer dishwashers and integrated refrigeration are the Fisher & Paykel appliances we are called to most often, followed by ovens and cooktops.
DishDrawers that will not close or latch, or that stop mid-cycle, usually point to the drawer seal, the latch or the lid actuator.
Parts are matched to the model and serial number. We confirm the exact part, its availability and the expected wait with you before the repair is approved, and we tell you before fitting anything other than an original part.
Our inspection and fixing fee is AED 100. If any parts need replacing, they are charged on top — and only with your approval.
All prices exclude 5% VAT. If you decide not to go ahead after the inspection, the AED 100 is payable; if we cannot repair it at all, you pay nothing.
The same method on every Fisher & Paykel dishwasher — test first, agree any parts, repair, then the warranty.
Call or WhatsApp with the model number and what the appliance is doing. An error code helps.
The technician tests and confirms the fault before anything is replaced. No guessing.
The AED 100 fee covers the inspection and the fixing. Any part is priced first and fitted only with your approval.
We run the appliance in front of you, then the repair carries a 90-day warranty.
Straight answers to what people ask us about Fisher & Paykel dishwashers.
Please do not keep resetting it. F1 means the drawer has detected water where it should not be, below the wash tub. Turn off the water supply and the power, and call us. Resetting it without finding the leak is how a small drip turns into damaged cabinetry.
Usually, yes. A drawer that will not close or latch is most often down to the drawer seal, the latch or the lid actuator. We test each on site and quote before replacing anything.
The ones we are called out for most are F1, and each is explained on this page. A code narrows the search but does not name the broken part on its own, so every job starts with a test rather than a guess.

If it is still inside Fisher & Paykel's own warranty, use Fisher & Paykel's service channel first — an independent repair may affect that cover. Once that warranty has ended, we repair it at your home, and our own 90-day warranty covers the parts we fit and the work we do.
Usually on the edge of the door or on the side of the tub, seen with the door open. Send a photo of that label on WhatsApp with what the dishwasher is doing and any code on the display — the model number tells us which parts fit before we arrive.
Our technicians travel to you across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman — at any hour, with no weekend, night or public holiday surcharge.
